Online or Offline Marketing, I'm confused....

Don't worry you are not alone. With so many tools to choose from, marketeers have never had so much choice. Thankfully you don't have to choose, in fact, if you combine online and offline techniques in the right way you could see your ROI explode.
Digital to Direct (D2D) Marketing in 3 simple steps:
Step 1. Drive Traffic To Your Website
OK so we all agree that digital (or online) marketing is the way forward. Even before Social Media Marketing took over, digital marketing was already well on its way. Digital marketing allows you to drive targeted and relevant traffic to your website and social media pages. The most popular forms of digital marketing include:
- Pay Per Click Marketing
- Social Media Marketing
- SEO
- Content Marketing
- Email Marketing
Step 2. Identify Traffic Using Website Caller ID
Until recently your website was the end of the journey for around 99% of all visitors. Despite the best efforts of web designers up and down the country most websites still experience a conversion rate of 0.5% - 1%. Not great!
Thankfully software developers have come to the rescue by creating 'Caller ID' for your website. Using the latest IP look-up software it is now possible to identify the businesses that have visited your website. Not that helpful if you are in the B2C market but it is SPECTACULARLY helpful if you are B2B!
Step 3. Follow Up Traffic using direct marketing
Once you've identified who has visited your site and where they have come from you can now follow them up. Typically that will be using one of the following channels:
- Telemarketing for search engine traffic
- Email for traffic coming from email clicks
- Social responses for traffic coming from Social Media Marketing
- Forum responses for traffic coming from articles or blog
We use the process described above for a number of our B2B clients and have had some great results.
